Reports to: Plant Supervisor
GENERAL PURPOSE:
This position is an addendum to other positions throughout the factory. A forklift driver uses a Powered Indusial Truck to move, load, and offload materials for the benefit of the factory.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
§ Forklift certification required (company will provide certification)
§ Able to follow stated safety rules
§ Able to work while wearing required PPE
§ Organizes and/or stocks raw materials in the work area, follows departmental housekeeping requirements, and leaves the work environment and equipment clean at the end of shift
§ Must be able to read specification and reports, such as tags and other documentation
§ Perform all duties according to established safety and efficiency procedures
§ Report issues or problems with process to immediate supervisor
§ Perform other duties as designated by a supervisor or manager
JOB FACTORS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
§ Must be able to stand and walk on concrete floors of minimum of 8 hours per shift
§ Ability to work and adapt to a changing work environment (examples, hot, cold, noise and around odors)
§ Must be able to Lift 75LBS (anything over 75 LBS must be team lifted
§ Minimum 18 years of age
§ Basic English reading/writing skills preferred
§ High school graduate or equivalent preferred
§ Previous experience in factory/warehouse setting highly desirable

§ Ability and willingness to work safely
§ Maintain work area safe and clean
§ Must be willing to participate in CI activities if needed
§ Must be able to work overtime as required
