Reports to: Operations Manager

 

GENERAL PURPOSE:

 

This position receives and inputs customer orders, compiles this data with other manufacturing data (Current Workload, Capacity, Stock) to create production/delivery schedules for the manufacturing floor. Works closely with customers and co-workers to plan and schedule orders to ensure products produced meet all delivery requirements. Addresses any issues with production or deliveries with the appropriate individuals.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

§ Obtain and input customer orders from both manual and electronic submissions (EDI)

§ Create and release Production / Delivery Schedules

§ Route deliveries in an efficient manner

§ Confirm delivery appointment times with customers

§ Provide the manufacturing floor with unique identifiers for each product (Law Tags)

§ Create Load Sheets with specific delivery/loading instructions for shipping department/delivery agents

§ Communicate with 3rd party logistics to coordinate any changes or issues with delivery routes

§ Communicate effectively with Sales Team members to resolve discrepancies or special orders

§ Maintain data files and generate required reports

§ Report issues or problems with scheduling process to immediate supervisor or manager

§ Perform other duties as assigned by manager

COMPETENCIES:

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

 

·      Position is highly detail-orientated with an essential emphasis on accuracy

·      Ability to communicate on a professional level with 3rd party logistics, customers, co-workers, and other company staff

·      Must be able to multi-task and adapt to changing projects and priorities in a fast-paced working environment

·      Ability to provide a good customer experience through proper communication and follow up

 

 

·      Preferred 3 – 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing/logistics environment

·      High School diploma or GED required

·      College degree preferred

·      Computer skills (MS Office) required

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

 

·      Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook

·      Ability to speak professionally on the phone with customers and sales teams

·      Ability to type 30 WPM with a high degree of accuracy
